Happy Easter!
The Easter bunny came to Wellington this year and his face was remarkably familiar… Complete with a basket brimming full of eggs, Bunny Ledingham hopped his way round school delivering eggs to staff and pupils who had been sent one by a friend or colleague. With each egg came a message written by the giver. Our languages teachers took the opportunity to wish one another Joyeuses Pâques and Frohe Ostern meanwhile, Ms Leckie got a message from grateful pupils: ‘Thank you for putting up with us!’ We just wonder what on earth they’ve been getting up to!?
There were also heart-warming messages ‘you’re a good friend’ and ‘you are my bestest friend’ and then there were outright declarations of love: ‘I will always love you’ and ‘oooh! I wonder who? Love from your Easter Bunny’. Very mysterious…
There is always one to break the mould and this time, it was with an act of self-love. Our renowned cheeky chappy, Mr Dudgeon, sent himself an egg and a message saying ‘I’m nice’. Thankfully, we all agree!
Meanwhile, the Nursery children decorated their bonnets and put on a parade as they do every year. Their colourful creations exemplified the joy of spring and brought sunshine to Drumley Hall.
We wish everyone in the Wellington community a restful and restorative break and for those of you studying hard, please refer to Mrs Lees’ top tips for revising (see pages 32-34). Until April everyone!
