Huge congratulations to all our pupils who received their exam results today! We hope you are all proud of all your hard work over the last year.

Mr Johnson (Headmaster) had the following to say:

“This year’s diet of SQA examinations was unique, in that every candidate was sitting formal, national assessments for the first time due to the cancellation of the exam diets of 2020 and 2021. The pandemic disrupted education in ways that nobody will yet fully understand, and I am sure that the level of anticipation waiting for results this morning was higher than ever in many households! I am delighted, therefore, that the results achieved by Wellington pupils were outstanding once again and I congratulate all of those who worked so hard throughout the year and prepared for the exams so diligently. I also thank the teachers, who provide so much inspiration and support.”

Highlights include an ‘A’ grade pass rate of 66% at Higher and 73% at National 5. These figures comfortably surpass those achieved in 2019 when pupils last sat SQA examinations.
