‘The first day back after the October half-term was greatly enlivened for the younger members of the Junior school by a visit to the school by two local authors – Greta Yorke and Maggie Bolton. Dressed in appropriate Hallowe’en garb, they enchanted the rapt audience with tales such as ‘The Witch Itch’ and ‘The Woo in the Wild Woods.’ Both ladies are retired Primary teachers, so knew their target audience well!
Following the readings, there were activities and the chance to spend pocket money on a chosen signed book. New books are in the pipeline, so we look forward to inviting the talented duo back to Wellington.’
