Teacher of Music (Part Time, 1 Year Fixed Term)
We are looking to appoint a part-time Teacher of Music to join a very successful department in this co-educational, 3 – 18 school. This appointment will be on a one year fixed-term basis initially, but there is the possibility of permanent employment. The aims of the department are to promote innovation, creativity and excellence in music across all stages of primary and secondary school. Music is a very popular subject at Wellington from National 5 through to Advanced Higher and a large number of pupils take instrumental lessons with one of our 15 specialist instructors. The introduction of music technology has created more options for the wide-ranging musical tastes of our pupils and experience in this area would be beneficial
The position is part-time (approximately 0.5FTE) and commences in August 2024. Initially, this appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for one year, but there is the possibility of permanent employment.
Applicants must either be registered with GTC Scotland, or eligible for registration. All teaching appointments are subject to clearance through the Disclosure Scotland Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme.
